About

I fell in love with the art of weaving and hammocking while traveling through Central America as a young woman. The manipulation of the suspended fabric conforms to the body or bodies while supporting them in a relaxed and therapeutic way. It is important that the fabric is woven in such a way as to enhance that experience. I discovered the lost art of Sprang weaving that originated in Scandinavia. I designed the hammock and the loom I use.

The cotton cordage used in weaving my hammocks is soft and yet it’s durable enough to consider that one day it will be an heirloom for the family. My 47 years experience in weaving and selling these pieces have proven that they will last 20-40 years being used indoors or outdoors.

I am back doing juried art shows around the country, especially, in the west. I just finished a six show tour including Jackson Hole Wyoming and Sedona Arizona. Look for me next year at your favorite community art show fundraiser.
